For over 35 years, I’ve dedicated my life to empowering others, whether through my work in IT, my role as a Marketing Director, or my creative pursuits. I thrive when I’m helping others achieve their goals, and I’m driven by the belief that kindness, patience, and respect are the foundations of success.
My Professional Journey
I began my career in the IT field, where I spent decades mastering a wide array of skills, including programming, administration, and quality assurance. Throughout my time in IT, I developed a deep appreciation for problem-solving and creating solutions that made a difference in the lives of others.
The latest chapter of my professional journey has been one of the most fulfilling. As the Marketing Director for the Redmond Senior Center, I’ve had the privilege of transforming a struggling community center into a vibrant hub of activity. This role has allowed me to combine my creative skills with my passion for helping others, making a meaningful impact on the lives of the people I serve.
In addition to my professional work, I’ve also pursued creative writing in both fiction and non-fiction. Writing has always been a way for me to express myself, share stories, and connect with others on a deeper level.
What Inspires Me
My work isn’t just about the tasks I complete—it’s about the people I help. Seeing the gratitude of those I’ve supported, whether through marketing initiatives or creative projects, inspires me to keep going. I live by the quote, "Faster, faster… until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." It’s a reminder to embrace life with courage and passion, and to always push forward.
A Little About Me
Outside of work, I find peace and inspiration in the outdoors, especially along the coast. The sound of crashing waves and the feel of the sea breeze have a way of grounding me, reminding me of the simple joys in life. Writing is both a passion and a hobby for me—crafting fiction allows me to explore new ideas, worlds, and perspectives.
At my core, I believe in the golden rule: Be kind. Treat others with respect, patience, and kindness. These values guide not only my professional life but also my personal interactions.
